Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 15C— - GREAT LAKES FISH AND WILDLIFE TISSUE BANK › § 943
The Secretary must run a Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Tissue Bank by coordinating existing places that store, prepare, examine, and keep tissue samples from selected Great Lakes fish and wildlife. The bank will be called the “Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Tissue Bank.” The Secretary must also, after public review and with help from federal and state agencies and the Council of Great Lakes Research Managers, create rules on collecting, preparing, archiving, quality checks, and access. The rules must make methods and standards consistent, require records of how samples were handled, and make sure the tissues are used properly for science.
