Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER XI— - MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK › § 95
Federal authorities control the land inside Mount Rainier National Park. Washington State can still serve legal papers and bring civil or criminal cases for rights, duties, or crimes that began in Washington but outside the park, and it may tax people and corporations (including business rights and property) there. Federal laws for U.S. lands apply, and fugitives hiding in the park are treated the same as fugitives found in Washington.
