It is illegal to make, sell, give away, supply, bring in, or be involved with any alcoholic or other intoxicating drinks on land in the former Indian country where there is an Indian school run or supervised by the United States. Alcohol may be allowed only for scientific, religious (sacramental), medical, or mechanical reasons. A person who breaks this can be fined or sent to jail for up to five years, or both.
