The Attorney General may pay rewards to people who give information about terrorism mostly in U.S. territory or about spying involving or aimed at the United States. Rewards apply when the tip leads to arrest or conviction anywhere for committing, planning, or trying the crime, or when it helps prevent, frustrate, or otherwise favorably resolve the act.
