Making, changing, forging, or using fake papers—like deeds, powers of attorney, orders, certificates, receipts, contracts, or similar documents—to get money from the United States, or to help someone else get that money, is a crime. If you know the papers are false and mean to cheat the United States, you can be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.
