Summary

When a law listed (sections 2112(e), 2253(b), 2432(d), or 2437(a) or (b)) requires sending a document to Congress, a copy must go to both the House and the Senate on the same day. If the House is not meeting, give the copy to the Clerk of the House. If the Senate is not meeting, give the copy to the Secretary of the Senate. When you count the 90-day period called for in sections 2253(c) and 2437(c)(2), leave out days when either House is not meeting because of an adjournment longer than 3 days to a set date or an adjournment of Congress "sine die" (no date set to return). Also leave out Saturdays and Sundays when either House is not meeting, unless those days were already left out.
