Country: any foreign country or territory, including overseas dependent territories, possessions, or the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands; the President can treat a free trade area or customs union as one country by Executive order, except members barred under section 2462(b). Entered: brought into the customs territory of the United States, including when taken out of warehouse for consumption. Internationally recognized worker rights: covers the right to form unions and bargain collectively, a ban on forced labor, limits on child labor and a minimum working age (including bans on the worst forms), and acceptable wages, hours, and workplace safety. Least-developed beneficiary developing country: a beneficiary developing country that is designated under section 2462(a)(2). Worst forms of child labor: slavery-like practices (including trafficking and debt bondage), using children for prostitution or pornography, using children for illegal activities such as drug production, and work likely to harm a child’s health, safety, or morals.
