The standards information center must provide the public with relevant documents and information, for reasonable fees set by the Secretary of Commerce. That includes: health and plant/animal safety rules of general use (like control, inspection, or approval procedures by federal or state agencies); the risk‑assessment methods and the factors agencies use to decide protection levels; how the U.S. and states take part in international, regional, or multilateral sanitary and phytosanitary groups and their rules; and where to find notices required under NAFTA Article 719 or the information they contain.
