Summary

Requires the Commissioner to make sure Customs and Border Protection officers are trained to spot and identify goods coming into the United States that violate intellectual property rights, including by using technologies the Commissioner finds with help from private companies. The Commissioner must work with private companies to pick cost‑effective detection tools and training programs and to find ways to cooperate on training. By August 22, 2016, the Commissioner must create rules so Customs can accept donations of hardware, software, equipment, and similar technology, and can receive training and other support services from private companies to help enforce intellectual property rights.
