No later than one year after the first Chief Innovation and Intellectual Property Negotiator is appointed under paragraph (2) of section 2171(b) of this title, as amended by subsection (a), and every year after that, the U.S. Trade Representative must send a report to the Senate Committee on Finance and the House Committee on Ways and Means. Each report must describe in detail: (1) enforcement actions the Trade Representative took during the one-year period before the report to protect U.S. innovation and intellectual property interests; and (2) other actions the Trade Representative took to advance those interests.
