§1537 Pilot program on small government flexibility

Summary

The head of the Office of Management and Budget must set up pilot programs in at least 2 agencies, working with federal agencies, to try new, more flexible rule approaches that cut reporting and compliance burdens on small governments while still meeting the law’s overall goals. The pilots must test rules already in effect, proposed rules, or a mix of both.
