§1743 Authorization of appropriations

Summary
Money can be provided to the Librarian each fiscal year starting on or after November 9, 2000 and continuing through fiscal year 2026 to carry out this chapter. No more than $250,000 may be provided in any single fiscal year.

There are authorized to be appropriated to the Librarian for the first fiscal year beginning on or after November 9, 2000, and each succeeding fiscal year through fiscal year 2026 such sums as may be necessary to carry out this chapter, except that the amount authorized for any fiscal year may not exceed $250,000.

of 2008 Amendment Pub. L. 110–336, § 2(a)(1)(B), Oct. 2, 2008, 122 Stat. 3726, provided that: “The amendment made by subparagraph (A) [amending this section] shall take effect as if included in the enactment of the National Recording Preservation Act of 2000 [Pub. L. 106–474].”
