Summary

When someone is hired by the Capitol Police, their starting pay must fall between that job's minimum and maximum pay rates. This rule applies beginning in fiscal year 2003 and for every fiscal year after that.

(a)Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the rate of basic pay payable to an individual upon appointment to a position with the Capitol Police shall be at a rate within the minimum and maximum pay rates applicable to the position.
(b)This section shall apply to fiscal year 2003 and each fiscal year thereafter.
