Summary

Naming any part of the Capitol Visitor Center must be approved by at least three‑quarters of the Capitol Preservation Commission’s Democratic members and at least three‑quarters of its Republican members. That rule does not apply to any room or space that is under the control of the Senate or the House of Representatives.

(a)Except as provided under subsection (b), no part of the Capitol Visitor Center may be designated or named without the approval of—
(1)not less than ¾ of all members on the Capitol Preservation Commission who are members of the Democratic party; and
(2)not less than ¾ of all members on the Capitol Preservation Commission who are members of the Republican party.
(b)Subsection (a) shall not apply to any room or space under the jurisdiction of the Senate or the House of Representatives.
