Title 2 › Chapter CHAPTER 31— - CAPITOL VISITOR CENTER › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER V— - MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS › § 2271
Giving new authority to the Architect of the Capitol or the Chief Executive Officer does not change who handles security or who runs the Capitol Visitor Center. The Capitol Police, the Capitol Police Board, the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate, and the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives keep sole responsibility for Capitol security, including the Visitor Center. The Architect of the Capitol keeps sole responsibility for managing and caring for the Capitol Visitor Center. All maintenance, groundskeeping, improvements, alterations, additions, and repairs for the Visitor Center must be done under the Architect’s supervision and, for general policy matters, approved by the Committee on Rules and Administration of the Senate and the House Office Building Commission.
