The committee decides contested election cases using the papers, depositions, and exhibits filed with the Clerk; those items are the case record. The contestant must include in his brief an appendix with the record parts he wants the committee to consider and any others the committee’s rules require. The contestee must include any record parts the contestant did not. Within 45 days after testimony ends the contestant must serve his printed brief and appendix. The contestee has 30 days to serve his brief and appendix after that. The contestant may file a printed reply within 10 days. The committee sets the rules for form, length, and number of copies.
