Title 2 › Chapter CHAPTER 45— - CONGRESSIONAL PAY AND BENEFITS › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - GENERAL › Part Part A— - Amount and Type › § 4508
Two parts of section 4507 (as changed by Pub. L. 95–391) must apply to telephone operators — including the chief and assistant chiefs — on the U.S. Capitol telephone exchange and to Capitol Police officers paid by the House Chief Administrative Officer. They get the same treatment as those paid by the Secretary of the Senate. Time worked in these jobs counts as creditable service whether pay comes from the House Chief Administrative Officer or the Senate Secretary.
