Title 2 › Chapter CHAPTER 65— - SENATE OFFICERS AND ADMINISTRATION › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II— - SECRETARY OF THE SENATE › Part Part B— - General Powers and Duties › § 6567
Starting July 11, 1987, the Secretary of the Senate may use up to $50,000 each fiscal year from the Secretary’s contingent fund to help carry out duties in the United States for members of foreign parliamentary groups or other foreign officials. These spending rules apply to expenditures for fiscal years that end after September 30, 1986. If the Secretary asks in writing and tells the Senate Committee on Appropriations, up to $15,000 a year may be moved from the Office of the Secretary’s expense account to the Secretary’s expense allowance account. Money moved this way can be used the same as other funds in that account.
