The Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate may choose one or more employees in his office to approve, for him, payment vouchers, payroll actions, or personnel actions that he is allowed to approve. When he makes such a choice, he must immediately tell the Committee on Rules and Administration in writing, and any approvals those employees give will count as if the Sergeant at Arms approved them until he revokes the choice and notifies the Committee in writing.
