From fiscal year ending September 30, 1984, the Secretary of the Senate must advance funds to Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper to cover office expenses. No advance may exceed $1,000 and total per year may not exceed $10,000. Both must be accountable; Sergeant at Arms must submit a detailed voucher.
