The Sergeant at Arms may, under rules the Senate’s Committee on Rules and Administration issues on or after November 5, 1990, call metered copier charges official, send invoices, and accept payment (including by certification or voucher). Money from those meter charges that comes from the contingent fund appropriation for the Sergeant at Arms must be put back into that same appropriation line and can be spent or obligated in the same way and under the same limits as the other money there. Sergeant at Arms — the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the U.S. Senate. user — any Senator, Senate officer, committee, office, or other entity given copiers by the Sergeant at Arms.
