Title 20 › Chapter CHAPTER 28— - HIGHER EDUCATION RESOURCES AND STUDENT ASSISTANCE › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER IX— - ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS › Part Part I— - Early Childhood Education Professional Development and Career Task Force › § 1161i–6
States that get a grant under this program must evaluate the work paid for by the grant. The evaluation must check how well the work meets State goals, how a career ladder affects early childhood education workers, how the work affects licensing or rules for those workers, how the work and the State plan affect the quality of education, training, and professional development in the State, how pay and staff retention change, and how the worker population’s makeup changes. At the end of the grant period, the State must send a report of that evaluation to the Secretary. By September 30, 2013, the Secretary, working with the Secretary of Health and Human Services, must review the States’ reports and send an evaluation of those reports to the authorizing committees.
