§1466 Authorization of appropriations

Summary

Money may be provided as needed for each fiscal year 2005 through 2010 to carry out this part of the law, except for one part that is handled separately. From the 2005 funds, the Secretary must set aside $1,000,000 for the study required elsewhere in the law, and may set aside more from later years if the Secretary finds it necessary.

(a)There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this part (other than section 1462 of this title) such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 2005 through 2010.
(b)From amounts appropriated under subsection (a) for fiscal year 2005, the Secretary shall reserve $1,000,000 to carry out the study authorized in section 1464(c) of this title. From amounts appropriated under subsection (a) for a succeeding fiscal year, the Secretary may reserve an additional amount to carry out such study if the Secretary determines the additional amount is necessary.
