To get the federal money a State is eligible for, the State must send the Secretary of Education a report by December 31, 1978 about any planning done under this law. The State can use any format. The report may include plans to expand career education to everyone; tie school subjects to jobs and community life; try or copy successful career‑education ideas; train teachers, counselors, and administrators; work with local agencies (like public employment services, vocational rehab, community mental‑health agencies, and education opportunity centers) to avoid duplicating services; and list state, local, and private resources for these programs.
