On May 4, 1980, three parts of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare must end: the Education Division (including the Office of Education), the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Education, and the Bureau of Occupational and Adult Education. Any job that was specifically created by law in those offices, or any job paid at Executive Schedule level IV or V (5 U.S.C. 5315–5316), also ends on that date.
