Title 20 › Chapter CHAPTER 52— - EDUCATION FOR ECONOMIC SECURITY › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER III— - PARTNERSHIPS IN EDUCATION FOR MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE, AND ENGINEERING › Part Part A— - Higher Education Partnerships › § 3984
Payments can be used to fund college-level programs that strengthen math, science, computer science, and engineering. That can include improving college teaching, giving scholarships, running faculty exchanges with businesses, supporting research, buying or fixing lab and classroom equipment, and helping the public learn about these subjects. Partners can be colleges, businesses, nonprofits, schools, professional groups, museums, libraries, educational TV stations, and state agencies if the state agrees. Payments can also fund K–12 partnerships where teachers work in local businesses, business people serve as guest teachers or advisers, businesses help train teachers, high school students get work or internship experiences, and schools run computer clubs and other tech activities. The same kinds of partners may join these efforts.
