Provides $65,000 from Treasury funds not otherwise appropriated, available until spent, for the purposes described. When the Smithsonian finds a state agency, school, or scientific group ready to help and the project is worthwhile, the Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution can match what each partner gives, but not more than $10,000 for any partner in a fiscal year. All joint work and sharing of results is run by the Secretary. Work on lands controlled by the U.S. must follow 18 U.S.C. 1866(b) and 54 U.S.C. 320302 and 320303 and their rules.
