The Commission must hold hearings, meet, take testimony, and collect evidence as needed to do its work. It should invite witnesses such as federal, state, and local officials, consumer and community groups, nonprofit financial education groups, and people from the financial services industry. The Commission can get information directly from any federal department or agency when the Chair asks for it. It may do periodic studies on U.S. financial literacy. It can also make and share financial education materials in languages other than English for its website, phone line, and other resources.
