Title 20 › Chapter CHAPTER 26A— - INDEMNITY FOR EXHIBITIONS OF ARTS AND ARTIFACTS › § 973
Anyone — a person, nonprofit, institution, or government — who wants an indemnity agreement must apply using the form and steps the Council sets. The application must list each item and its estimated value, show proof the items meet the rules in section 972(a), and explain how the items will be prepared, displayed, and transported. If the application meets the rules, the Council will approve it and make an indemnity contract. That contract includes a U.S. government guarantee to pay any amounts the Council becomes liable for, and the Council is allowed to give that guarantee.
