Anyone doing business in commerce as a meat broker, renderer, maker of animal food, wholesaler of carcasses or carcass parts, a public warehouse operator storing those items, or who buys, sells, transports, or imports dead, dying, disabled, or diseased cattle, sheep, swine, goats, horses, mules, or other equines (or parts of animals that died other than by slaughter) must register with the Secretary when the Secretary’s rules require it. They must give their name, every business address where they do this work, and any trade names they use.
