Title 22 › Chapter CHAPTER 7— - INTERNATIONAL BUREAUS, CONGRESSES, ETC. › § 262g
Congress requires the United States, when using its votes at international development banks and funds, to fight hunger and malnutrition and to help developing countries grow their economies. Aid should go to countries that are improving their own farming and to projects that meet local food and nutrition needs. U.S. representatives must oppose loans or other financial help to start or expand exports of palm oil, sugar, or citrus if that help would harm U.S. producers of the same or similar crops.
