Title 22 › Chapter CHAPTER 7— - INTERNATIONAL BUREAUS, CONGRESSES, ETC. › § 262t
The United States must not base hiring, placement, or removal of people who work for international financial institutions on their political beliefs or activities. Before any U.S. official talks about or recommends placing or removing a principal officer at those institutions, the Secretary of the Treasury must consult the chairman and the ranking minority member of the House Committee on Banking, Finance and Urban Affairs and the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
