Summary

The Department must maintain a Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program. It must keep giving money, mentoring, and career training to graduate students who agree to pursue jobs in the U.S. Foreign Service. The Department must run the program under current laws and rules.

(a)There shall be in the Department a Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program.
(b)The program required by subsection (a) shall continue to provide financial assistance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to graduate students who commit to pursuing careers in the Foreign Service of the United States.
(c)The program required by subsection (a) shall be administered by the Department, consistent with existing law and regulations.
