Require the Secretary of State to make sure the U.S. government quickly finds and, when allowed, shares information about the killing, kidnapping, torture, or other serious mistreatment of U.S. citizens abroad with the victims or with their family members who are U.S. citizens. The Secretary must work with other agency heads to locate information, including classified material, and review it fast. Information should be released unless doing so would endanger secret sources or methods, harm important national security interests, interfere with a current criminal investigation or court case, or is forbidden by law.
