Title 22 › Chapter CHAPTER 7— - INTERNATIONAL BUREAUS, CONGRESSES, ETC. › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER XII–A— - INTER-AMERICAN INVESTMENT CORPORATION › § 283ii
Any securities the Corporation issues or guarantees to raise money and put into its resources are treated as exempt from certain federal securities laws. The Corporation must file annual and other reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission that the Commission thinks are needed because of the Corporation’s special role and to protect the public and investors. The Securities and Exchange Commission, after consulting an agency or officer the President names, can suspend that exemption at any time for some or all of the Corporation’s securities. The Commission must report to Congress each year about how this rule is working and include any views given by dealer associations registered with the Commission.
