The U.S. Executive Director at the Bank must ask the Bank’s Board to adopt a resolution saying that light-capital or intermediate technologies should be a main part of the Bank’s development work and that they should be used as quickly as possible in all Bank activities. The resolution must also require that, by the end of the calendar year 1977, some projects using mainly those technologies are planned and approved. The U.S. Governor of the Bank must report to Congress about the proposal within six months after May 31, 1976, and must report again on the progress no later than twelve months after May 31, 1976.
