The Treasury Secretary may give up to $356,000,000 on behalf of the United States to the International Development Association to pay for debt relief under the Multilateral Debt Relief Initiative during IDA’s fifteenth replenishment. This payment depends on Congress providing the money and does not change any funding arrangements in place on June 24, 2009. Up to $356,000,000 may be appropriated, with no fiscal year limit, to pay for this contribution. Multilateral Debt Relief Initiative — the G8 proposal from June 11, 2005, reaffirmed July 8, 2005.
