Congress approved money for the Secretary of State to carry out U.S. science and technology agreements with Poland and Hungary. For the 1987 U.S.-Polish agreement it allows $1,500,000 for fiscal year 1990, $2,000,000 for fiscal year 1991, and $2,000,000 for fiscal year 1992. For the 1989 U.S.-Hungarian agreement it allows $500,000 for fiscal year 1990, $1,000,000 for fiscal year 1991, and $1,000,000 for fiscal year 1992. The term “1987 United States-Polish science and technology agreement” means the cooperation agreement made in 1987 between the United States and Poland, including its annexes. The term “1989 United States-Hungarian science and technology agreement” means the cooperation agreement made in 1989 between the United States and Hungary, including its annexes.
