The Treasury Secretary must report to Congress by August 19, 2001, and every year after, about the Trust Fund’s goals; the programs and vaccination efforts it supports; private and government donations; and the selection rules agreed with the USAID Administrator. By August 19, 2002, the Comptroller General must report to Congress on whether the Fund’s programs slow the global spread of AIDS and whether the U.S. should keep funding them. "Appropriate committees" means Senate Foreign Relations and Appropriations, and House International Relations, Banking and Financial Services, and Appropriations.
