Summary

Agencies may not use the rules in this part to create or require sanctions that stop or punish the import of goods. A "good" means any article, natural or manmade substance, material, supply, or manufactured product — including inspection and test equipment — but not technical data.

(a)Notwithstanding any other provision of this subchapter, the authorities and requirements to impose sanctions under this subchapter shall not include the authority or a requirement to impose sanctions on the importation of goods.
(b)In this section, the term “good” means any article, natural or manmade substance, material, supply or manufactured product, including inspection and test equipment, and excluding technical data.
