§8604 Reports required

Title 22 › Chapter CHAPTER 93— - UNITED STATES-ISRAEL COOPERATION › § 8604

Last updated Apr 6, 2026|Official source

Summary

The President must send a report no later than 180 days after July 27, 2012, to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee about whether Israel still has a clear military advantage given current regional trends and instability. If that report is sent within one year of when the first quadrennial report under the Naval Vessel Transfer Act of 2008 is due, it can substitute for that quadrennial report. Also within 180 days after July 27, 2012, the President must give the relevant congressional committees a report on three things: steps to speed up and cut the cost of Israel’s F–35 purchases, efforts to expand U.S.–Israel cooperation in homeland security, counter‑terrorism, maritime security, energy, cyber‑security and similar areas, and actions to bring Israel into the defense of the Eastern Mediterranean.
