Summary

Defines two terms used in this chapter. "Appropriate congressional committees" means these specific panels: in the Senate, the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Relations, and the Select Committee on Intelligence; in the House, the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. "Qualitative military edge" means the definition given in section 2776(h)(2) of this title.

In this chapter:

(1)The term “appropriate congressional committees” means—

(A)the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Relations, and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate; and

(B)the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.
