Within 180 days after August 2, 2017, and every 180 days after that, the President must send a report to the appropriate congressional committees. The report must list each case where the United States put sanctions on a person for WMD-related activity, supporting international terrorism by Iran, or human rights abuses in Iran but the European Union did not, and each case where the EU put sanctions on someone but the U.S. did not, and explain why. The first report covers August 2, 2017 through the report date. Later reports cover the 180 days before they are sent. Reports must be unclassified but may include a classified annex.
