Title 24 › Chapter CHAPTER 10— - ARMED FORCES RETIREMENT HOME › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF RETIREMENT HOME › § 416a
Each Retirement Home facility must have a Resident Advisory Committee made up of residents chosen by other residents. The committee gives people a way to share needs and ideas and to pass information between residents and management. The facility Ombudsman runs the elections. The committee elects a Chairperson by a vote of all residents for a two-year term. The Chair works with the Administrator, votes on the Advisory Council, makes the meeting agenda, runs meetings, and sends meeting notes to the Administrator, who forwards them to the Chief Operating Officer. Meetings must be held at least quarterly.
