Allows a Native American child who lives on a reservation but is temporarily off it to be taken or placed in foster care under state law in an emergency to stop immediate physical harm. State officials must end the emergency action as soon as it is no longer needed and quickly start a child custody case under this law, or turn the case over to the tribe, or return the child to the parent or tribal custodian, whichever fits.
