§2219 Application to Alaska

Title 25 › Chapter CHAPTER 24— - INDIAN LAND CONSOLIDATION › § 2219

Last updated Apr 6, 2026|Official source

Summary

Most of the chapter does not apply to land in Alaska, except where it says otherwise. Congress notes many studies about fractionated ownership of Indian land outside Alaska but none like that for Alaska. This does not approve any government or court decision that tribes have authority over allotted lands in Alaska.
