Summary

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians of North Carolina can sell or transfer land it owns, or parts of it. Any such transfer already made—whether to the United States or to anyone else—cannot be challenged if the title or the transfer papers have been or are approved by the Secretary of the Interior.

That the authority of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians of North Carolina to execute conveyances of lands owned by said band, or any interest therein, is recognized, and any such conveyance heretofore made, whether to the United States or to others, shall not be questioned in any case where the title conveyed or the instrument of conveyance has been or shall be accepted or approved by the Secretary of the Interior.
