Title 25 › Chapter CHAPTER 7A— - PROMOTION OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC WELFARE › § 310
The Secretary of the Interior must, if money is available, make a 30-year agreement with the College of Santa Fe to provide space and help run joint arts and museum programs with the Institute of American Indian and Alaska Native Culture and Arts Development, and must improve the Institute’s facilities at the college. That requirement took effect on October 1, 1984. Through the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Secretary must study whether the Institute needs its own museum, whether building one is practical, and whether it should be near the College of Santa Fe. The Secretary must report the study and recommendations to Congress by February 1, 1985. If a museum is recommended and the College is chosen, any building agreement must ensure suitable land at the College is provided at no cost to the Federal Government.
