Title 25 › Chapter CHAPTER 8— - RIGHTS-OF-WAY THROUGH INDIAN LANDS › § 318a
Money from the U.S. Treasury that is not already set aside can be used to buy materials and equipment, pay for supervision and engineering, and hire Indian workers to survey, improve, build, and maintain roads on Indian reservations. This applies only to roads that do not qualify for Federal Highway Act aid and have no other funding, and the work must follow rules set by the Secretary of the Interior.
