Title 25 › Chapter CHAPTER 34— - INDIAN CHILD PROTECTION AND FAMILY VIOLENCE PREVENTION › § 3204
The Secretary must, after talking with the Health and Human Services Secretary and the U.S. Attorney General, write a study about whether a Central Register for reports or information on child abuse in Indian country is needed and feasible. The study must look at six things: the need and purpose; how it would affect legal rights; who could access the information; how information could be removed; what kinds of information would be kept and for how long; and which groups of people would be included. The Secretary must finish the study and send it, with recommendations and draft legislation, to Congress within 180 days after November 28, 1990.
